School for Social Entrepreneurs
The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) offers practical learning for social entrepreneurs to start up and grow their organisations. In this short film, CEO Alistair Wilson talks about SSE’s all-important ‘action learning’ approach.
SSE is located on the second floor of the Fire Station next to the PwC Centre for Social Impact. To date, over 1,000 alumni (‘fellows’) have completed SSE programmes around the country.
Since 2006, PwC has been supporting SSE in a number of ways:
- Our volunteers mentor and coach SSE students, sharing our business expertise
- Participants of our ‘Emerging Leaders Programme’ have worked with SSE to develop their franchise model, helping them increase their impact across the UK
- We’ve helped the SSE expand internationally, with support in Australia, Canada and New Zealand
- We also provides bursaries, so more social entrepreneurs can benefit from SSE training programmes
Our partnership with SSE runs across the UK including London, the South West, Hampshire, the North West, East of England, and Scotland.
